Terms of Service
Last updated September 2026
Using Tru
Tru is a planning tool that shows what to pay, hold or skip based on the bills and paydays you enter. By using Tru you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information.
Not financial advice
Tru is not a bank, lender, credit repair service, tax adviser or financial adviser, and nothing in the app or from the AI advisor is regulated financial, credit, tax or legal advice. Tru gives general guidance based on the numbers you enter. Decisions about your money remain yours, and you should speak to a qualified professional for advice about your situation.
Your account
Accounts use a sign-in link sent to your email. Keep access to that inbox secure — anyone who can open the link can reach your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
Tru Plus, billing and renewals
Tru Plus is a subscription billed monthly or yearly at the price shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you subscribe and the plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.
You can cancel or switch plans at any time from the Account page. Cancelling stops future charges and your Plus features stay available until the end of the period you already paid for. Plan switches take effect immediately and are prorated by our payment processor.
Payments are processed by Stripe and are also subject to Stripe's terms. If a payment fails we may retry it and will email you; Plus access may be suspended if payment is not completed.
Refunds
Charges are generally non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If something went wrong, email hello@trytru.app and we will look at it fairly.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Tru: no attempts to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, no automated scraping, no reselling access, and no uploading content that is unlawful or belongs to someone else.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Tru available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may add, change or retire features. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.
Liability
Tru is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, Tru is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed payments, fees or interest charged by anyone else. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
